Hygge Inspired Decor with FTD

Hi Everyone!

It’s that time of the year again: the days are getting shorter, and the nights are getting colder. It’s a natural instinct to want to bundle up with a glass of wine in front of a roaring fire, right? If so, you may need a little Hygge in your life. Last year, I did a post on some basics of Hygge – which you can read here. I was recently approached by the FTD Fresh team to share one of their new blog posts with some tips on getting the Hygge look at home. I absolutely love their approach to making your home a cozy, happy, stylish place. Check out these adorable inspiration pictures from FTD By Design!

I thought it would be fun to try out some tips from the blog post in my own space, and here’s what I came up with:

While I couldn’t get every tip from the blog into my space – I think I’ve captured their teachings pretty well! I have:

  • a neutral background
  • a cozy throw on my chair
  • a few lightly scented candles lit (including a few on the floor in lieu of a fire)
  • pretty fall-themed twinkle lights on the mantle
  • texture with my throw/pillow/rug combination

I would love to make this corner a permanent addition to my living room or office – and I may do that soon. It would be the perfect place to have a quiet moment with a book and a cup of pumpkin flavoured coffee!

Thanks so much for checking in and be sure to check out FTD’s post to bring some of that cozy hygge style into your own home!

Hope you have a great week 🙂
